Inside flower lake: Gölcük

Rızapaşa village is reached at the first crossroads after going 14 km from Söğüt towards Eskişehir and turn left. Continuing 5 km from the intersection, you continue through the middle of the road that divides into three without entering the 18-digit village, and after 4 km you come to a picnic area that is not quite clear from a distance. The interior and surface of the lake covered with flowers surround the trees and wooden tables under which you can have a picnic. Families who come to the area where the vehicle can be toured around the lake for a picnic on the weekend should be careful not to leave their garbage, so that everywhere is clean in the area where nobody is. The flowers blooming in the spring, the flowers on the surface of the water and the interior and surroundings of the lake radiate joy and enthusiasm with its colorful scenery. The air is as clean as possible. The lake, which is a kind of bird paradise, and the dense vegetation, the wild duck and mostly the rhododendron can be seen.
In my work named “Bird Paradise of Turkey”, they used to say that the angut bird is a pure bird everywhere. I learned why in Söğüt Gölcük. If the male ruddy bird loses its mate while hunting or for any other reason, another female will not mate with angut for 7 years. That’s why the numbers of anguts don’t increase. At the entrance of the small village where there is not even a village grocery store, there is a delicious and cold spring water that can be drunk. You can also buy vegetables grown in the region from the villagers. In the future, it is planned to clean the plants surrounding the lake and build a country restaurant on its shore. Water has decreased a little this year.
