Adana Tarihi Kiz Lisesi – Adana

Adana Historical Girls’ High School is located on Debboy Street in Seyhan district, on the banks of the Seyhan River, south of the Stone Bridge. It was built as a Military Secondary School (military secondary school) between 1881 and 1883 by Adana Governor Abidin Pasha during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit. In 1885, a high school department was added and it was named Adana Civil High School. In 1908, the name of the school was Mekteb-i Sultani, and in 1923 it was named Adana High School. The school, which served as a boarding Girls’ High School from 1932 to 1998, was restored in 2005 – 2006 and opened as a Culture and Art Center.
