
In 1901, II. It is one of the monuments built in many Ottoman provinces on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Abdulhamid’s accession to the throne. It was named after Bahri Pasha, the Governor of Adana at the time. The fountain in Kuruköprü Square was demolished by the municipality in 1952 due to road expansion. In 1991-1992, within the framework of the Adana Governorship’s “Respect for Our Cultural Heritage” campaign, a restitution project was made by architect Zeynep Çavuşoğlu and it was rebuilt by the Governorship.
