When to Visit

The great pilgrimages peak around the Marian feasts of August, when the city is at its most vibrant but also most crowded. May and other Marian feast days are also busy. Weekdays outside these periods offer a quieter experience.

Getting There

Częstochowa is easily reached by train or bus from Warsaw, Kraków, and Katowice. From the station, the monastery is a short walk up the grand avenue.
