Anatolian Lighthouse – İstanbul / Turkey

Picnic at the castle

We take the castle behind us and proceed safely, and we are guests at the private cottage with camellia with a picnic garden built on the hill. Hayati Aktaş runs the countryside restaurant. He has fish, meat and chicken. We pull the vehicle to a place close to the table where we will have a picnic and we settle on the table. We have a picnic with what we have brought with us, if not, or with the orders we will give to the restaurant. If you don’t eat anything from the restaurant, you pay 20 million TL for a camellia rent. Those who eat only pay for what they eat, they do not rent. The staff of the restaurant brings a barbecue ready to fire by burning coal to those who wish. While eating on the grass-covered hill by stepping on the ground, walking around, the smells of other barbecue smoke coming from the environment are enough to fuel your self-cooked, self-catering pleasure. Right in front of you is the village of Garipçe, Rumeli Lighthouse, ships that finish the strait and reach the Black Sea or enter Istanbul, freighters, yachts, sailboats and tankers in between. While families, motorcycle groups eat and sip their drinks, they also look at the interesting conical rock called “Plefkaya”, which is caved like a cave on the beach. The rock mass, which resists the waves passing over the waves and beating the walls during the winter, is watched as a natural monument. With its clean sea and scenery around the rock, it is frequented by yachts and small boats, those who wish can take a sea bath, wander around, fly a kite on the windy hill, and take memories in the castle.

We leave the tower bottom picnic area and head towards the Anatolian Lighthouse.

Anatolian Lighthouse

Peace of mind fills you during your trip to Poyraz and the Anatolian Lighthouse. The first is the calming effect of the clean and gentle wind that carries the scent of the iodine and seaweed-scented sea, as if filtered.

The second is that you have saved your body by walking around on concrete, asphalt and metal floors in the city life and stepping on the ground from the electricity that accumulates on you. Thirdly, during your trips to both villages, you feel that you are in a very different place away from Istanbul, you see and live, and you realize that you are not far from the city by seeing the new Istanbul silhouette created by the skyscrapers rising to the sky from Levent and Maslak districts.

The way you proceed with the impression that you are not in Istanbul is covered with lush trees, stunted plants, flowers and forests, and it reminds you that there is life in the city that is still concrete, enough to increase your happiness. The fact that the windpipe you miss can remain so close and untouched makes you want to come back again and again. With this impression, Anadolu Lighthouse, which you come to in a short time like 10 minutes, passing through the picnic gardens on the right and left, becomes the last point, you get contact here. The first restaurant you encounter while coming to the lighthouse is “Moonlight”. Tel no: 0 (532) 788 20 03. The slope that passes in front of the restaurant on the ramp brings you to the beach as the boat of fishing boats. You are in the fishing village from the very first minute. Those who design and realize to bring sunbeds, portable tables, foldable chairs, umbrellas in their vehicles to enjoy the landscape and the environment thoroughly and to live this pleasure for a long time set up their enviable tables in places where nature behaves generously.
