“While there were uprisings in Albania and Arabia, Armenians were being massacred by Kurds on September 29, 1911.” – (The War in Europe, 199 / New York – 1914)
While the Ottoman Empire was dealing with the Balkan problems in its west and there was exactly one year before the start of the Balkan war, it also started a war with the Kingdom of Italy, which entered the Tripoli province.
Although Kurds and Armenians were trying to seize land from the Ottoman lands and realize their Kurdish and Armenian dreams, they were killing unprotected Turks by rioting in every difficult moment of the Ottoman Empire. They were not satisfied with this, they had a great destruction with each other, especially on “September 29, 1911”, the day the Tripoli war started.
These massacres, which were said to have been carried out by the Turks, were actually a continuation of the Kurdish uprisings and massacres that had been going on since 1806. These two disorderly societies continued their racist structures, riots and murders during the Republican period and continue today.
