We leave on the Antalya – Kaş road and descend to Adrasan by using the 22 km road towards the sea. Although the plane tree that we encounter while approaching the entrance of the town does not attract much attention, we meet a completely different world as we approach the sea parallel to the Adrasan Stream to the left. If those who set off in the daytime reach the region after dark, this is even more surprising.
While the road side of the stream is used for vehicle traffic and parking facilities, the suspension bridges built with a system similar to the Istanbul Bosphorus Bridge provide the opportunity to pass to the opposite side where the facilities are located. Strip bulbs lined up showing the design of both bridges and facilities create a different atmosphere. The private lodge terraces built in the Adrasan Stream, which is not known to flow towards the sea, and the insatiable ducks and geese swimming around it display a surprising beauty. Along the stream with special air flow, the breezy air acts as a natural air conditioner and provides cooling by dispersing moisture. In January and February, the water level of the stream rises due to the rainfall. Apart from that, local and foreign tourists who want to spend a warm winter in the remaining time enjoy the changeable and refreshing fresh air.
Vacationers who stay in the shadow of monumental plane trees in Adrasan, which has a long summer season, spend most of their time in the garden, terrace and the famous beach and sea of Adrasan. Along the 2 km beach of Adrasan in the Kumluca district, the left head of the bay is called Dere Mevkii. The spring water originating from the Tahtalı Mountains also includes fish such as sea bass and gray mullet. The right head of the bay draws attention as the busy part where the hotels and hostels are located and even the second street opens. There are trekking areas for those who are interested in the environment and walking. Between Mavikent and Gelidonya, you can see Oturak Bay, which preserves its charm with its sandy beach and beach, which is famous as the calmest shelter even in the harshest moments of the sea. Those who encounter Karaöz Neighborhood near Oturak Bay enter another special bay with daily picnic areas decorated by nearly 200 villas known as the place of Ankara residents. Following the shore in Karaöz, the bay named Papaz Pier serves as another daily picnic area under the shade of pine trees. On the other hand, in Mavikent, the largest coastline of Antalya, where the obas are also located, the beach of 25 km reaching Finike promises a future. Among the activities organized in Adrasan, students who enroll in the diving school and those who come on holiday can take diving courses. Every day, group dives are carried out at Üç Adalar location, Leira island and Sulu island at 25-30 meters and students receive diving certificates at the end of the course.
While the boats approaching Papaz Cove deliver the fish they catch to Reis Fisheries Company, other amateur fishermen can catch large fishes with a spear or fishing rod in the rocky areas.
Nomadic villagers living in the plateau in the region use their own production of tulum cheese, butter, fragrant orange honey and village eggs by giving them to the surrounding touristic facilities.
