Foca Houses

Traditional Foça houses can be examined in three groups as Tower Houses, Adjacent Layout Houses and Single House Type. Tower houses; Outside of Foça, abandoned or still settled villages, they are found in a single or collective state scattered around. They are called “tower houses” because their height is more than the width of the facade. These houses were built side by side, in opposite and adjacent order in a street. There is no front garden in the adjacent houses, the buildings open directly to the street. They are disjointed, non-plastered masonry stone structures.
