Saklıkent Canyon:
Saklıkent is a long valley starting from the Taurus Mountains to the border between Fethiye and Kaş. Esencay is to the east. Saklıkent was recently discovered by local villagers. It is our natural paradise that has been serving tourism for about 20 years. Saklikent Turkey has the distinction of being the longest and deepest canyon. It consists of 18 km long very narrow and steep rocks. Generally, the sun does not see inside the canyon. You can see that stones and rocks take a wide variety of shapes. It can be said that the stones have become like this by being dragged from great distances with the help of large water bodies. With these effects, the surface of the rocks is slippery with incredibly beautiful shapes. You can meet your plastic shoes, helmets and other needs for walking from River Bar and start walking. Passing through the 150m long bridge, you arrive at the area where the spring waters are located. After that, walking starts in the water. Seems easy at first. The canyon becomes narrower as you progress and you will have difficulty walking. You come across waterfalls and impenetrable obstacles. You can take a quick shower under the waterfalls and feel the coolness in the summer heat. In addition, the icy spring waters coming under the rocks give coolness to the environment in the summer months and serve as a natural air conditioner. In order to be able to cross the canyon, it is necessary to set out with a team of professional climbers with the necessary materials.
