Manavgat Selalesi – Places to Visit – Antalya

The ninety-three kilometer long Manavgat River, which originates from the eastern slopes of the Western Taurus Mountains, mixes with the Mediterranean through the strait in the Sorgun region, and is fed by large underground waters, forms the Manavgat Waterfall, which falls from cliffs approximately five meters high. The waterfall, located three kilometers west of Manavgat district of Antalya, has the same name as the district.

Manavgat River, which is home to many fish and bird species (trout, carp, mullet, perch, blackfish, coot, duck, geese, kingfisher, various types of herons, seagulls, etc.), also has a rich plant diversity with many tree species such as willow, plane, poplar, mulberry, elm. In addition, various nature sports such as rafting and canoeing can be done in certain stages of the river, which allows adventure in all these natural beauties.

Manavgat Waterfall, which has been brought into tourism by landscaping in accordance with the natural geographical structure, has recreational areas where visitors can enjoy visiting and receiving services. The waterfall, which has a magnificent natural view, is a very good option for those who want to escape from the noise and crowd of the city.
