Adrasan Pictures
Adrasan is in the Kumluca district of Antalya and became a town in 1996. It has an interesting bay surrounded by pine trees. It receives adverse winds from land to sea, and that is why in the past years when wind power was dominant, sailboats could not enter this bay and carried the traces of civilization to the ports of Olympos, Phaselis and Antalya. The name Adrasan comes from Greek and the town is now known as Çavuş Köyü.
The bay, which leans its back on the Bey Mountains, has a sandy ground and a shallow sea, and its surroundings are full of interesting natural beauties that do not have a highway. It is also a unique track for those who are interested in water sports.
The sea water temperature is high and the season is long in the region, especially the clear sea with an underwater visibility of nearly 29 meters creates sufficient conditions for divers and underwater photographers. Adrasan’s closed bay has a wide and long beach. It is possible to swim in the sea from anywhere. Eliğ, located on Mount Musa across the bay, attracts attention with its silhouette resembling a camel with its collapsed top. At the beginning of the bay is Markız Hill.
The forest heights from both sides of Adrasan Bay display beauties that will provide an idea of how aesthetic the bay is. For those who are interested in environmental trips, the ancient city of Olympos and Yanartaş on the mythological mountain with its everlasting fire are the closest sightseeing places. Çıralı, Kaş, Demre, Myra, Patara, Xantos, Phaselis and Antalya may be your other places to visit.
Adrasan Bay, Stream and Surroundings: An atmosphere that is hard to describe and an environment you will not want to leave. Adrasan is the perfect address for real rest. While Antalya is already full of tourists, crowded, hot and bustling in the city, Adrasan promises peace and tranquility, 100 km away from Antalya.
We leave via Antalya – Kaş road and go down to Adrasan using the 22 km road towards the sea. Although the plane tree we encounter as we approach the town entrance does not attract much attention, we are introduced to a completely different world as we approach the sea to the left, parallel to Adrasan Creek. This becomes even more surprising if those who set out during the day reach the region after dark.
While the road side of the stream is used for vehicle traffic and parking facilities, suspension bridges built with a system similar to the Istanbul Bosphorus bridge provide the opportunity to pass to the opposite side where the facilities are located. Strip bulbs arranged in a way that shows the design of both bridges and facilities create a different atmosphere.
The special lodge terraces built in the Adrasan Stream, which is not known to flow towards the sea, and the insatiable ducks and geese swimming around it display a surprising beauty. The breeze along the stream, which has a special air flow, acts as a natural air conditioner and provides coolness by dispersing moisture. The water level of the stream rises due to rainfall in January and February.
Apart from this, local and foreign tourists who want to spend a warm winter in the remaining time enjoy the changeable and refreshing fresh air.
In Adrasan, which has a long summer season, holidaymakers staying under the shade of monumental plane trees spend most of their time in the garden, terrace and Adrasan’s famous beach and sea. The left head of the bay along the 2 km long beach of Adrasan in Kumluca district is called Dere Mevkii. The spring water originating from the Tahtalı Mountains also contains fish such as sea bass and mullet.
The right head of the bay also draws attention as the busy part where hotels, hostels and even the second street opens. There are trekking areas for those who are interested in the environment and hiking. Between Mavikent and Gelidonya, Oturak Bay can be seen, which maintains its charm with its sandy beach and beach, which is famous as the calmest place of shelter even when the sea is harshest.
Those who come across Karaöz Neighborhood near Oturak Bay enter another private bay with daily picnic areas decorated with nearly 200 villas, known as the place of Ankara residents. Following the coast from Karaöz, the bay called Papaz İskelesi serves as another daily picnic area under the shade of pine trees.
On the other hand, the 25 km long beach in Mavikent, which is the largest coastline of Antalya, where the camps are located, and reaches Finike, promises the future. Among the activities organized in Adrasan, students who enroll in diving schools and those who come on holiday can take diving courses.
Every day, group dives are carried out at 25-30 meters in the Üç Adalar area, Pırasalı island and Sulu island area, and the students receive their diving certificates at the end of the course. While the boats docking at Papaz Bay deliver the fish they catch to the Reis Balıkçılık company, other amateur fishermen can catch large fish with a harpoon or fishing rod in the rocky areas. Nomads living in the local plateau. The villagers make use of the tulum cheese, butter, fragrant orange honey and village eggs they produce by giving them to the surrounding tourist facilities.
