The most enjoyable part of the Marmaris-Datça road, which is a narrow and winding road and rises quite a bit for a while, is that it has a view of Hisarönü on the one hand and Gökova bay on the other.

In a moment, you will go down and have the opportunity to enter the beautiful bays.

When you enter the Bozburun road on the 22nd km of the Datça road, you will reach Hisarönü village after one km. Hisarönü is at the extreme point of the bay named after him. The village is a little inside the main road. Hisarönü, whose sea is shallow and sandy tile color, is one of the options of those who want to have a quiet holiday away from the crowds of Marmaris.

It is known that the always breezy damp air and clean water of Hisaronu are good for those with asthma and heart diseases.

The ruins of a temple town called Kastabos stand out on the plain called the Bargain (or Gavur Bazaar) on Mount Eren between the bay. The remains belong to the temple of Hemithea. The ancient historian Diodorus of Sicily tells that the woman named Molpadia (singer), who was brought to this region by Apollo, was worshipped under the name of Hemithea(demigoddess) and a temple was built for her, and the reputation of the temple continued for a long time.

The small town of Kastabos was connected to the ancient city of Baybassos. The city of Baybassos can be seen 1-2 km north of the temple, on the top and slopes of the hill between Marmaris-Bozburun road and the sea. The medieval castle on the hill is in good condition.

Boat tours are organized from Hisarönü to the surrounding area. The boats stop at İnbükü (Emel Sayın) bay, Kartal Bay, Rabbit Island and Bencik port.
