Amasya Trip / Turkey

15th century Sultan II. Bayezid Complex, dated 1485. The mosque is quite impressive with its garden and fountain. Büyük Ağa Madrasah has an eye-pleasing architecture with its octagonal courtyard, dome and chimneys. Currently, there are classrooms in which the Koran course is given. If you leave Amasya, where there are many other works worth seeing such as Amasya Castle, rock tombs, waterways, Gökmedrese, bridges, station building, cupolas, Burmalı minaret, Mehmet Pasha and Gümüşlü mosques, you can set off towards Merzifon this time with a wide and beautiful road. At the city entrance, the statue of Kara Mustafa Pasha on his rearing horse welcomes you.

If you go further into the urban fabric and follow the sign showing the Kara Mustafa Pasha mosque on a one-way road, you reach the famous mosque built in 1666. You cannot take your eyes off the interior ceiling decorations of the dome, where you can sit and watch in the fountain in the courtyard. Next to the fountain are two giant monumental plane trees, the trunks of which defy the years. The circumference of the plane trees worth seeing, which integrates with the mosque and fountain, is 7 and 8.5 meters. Although some of the trunks resembling the cave entrance have begun to be ejaculated, plane trees continue their lives on their majestic trunks. Passing through the arched door of the mosque courtyard, you can find yourself in a multi-shop bazaar where items you have never thought of is sold on your trip to the historical stone bedesten.

Another work that you will definitely catch your eye on during the Merzifon tour is the clock tower. Ziya Pasha was built in 1866 on the monumental entrance gate of Merzifon Çelebi Mehmet Madrasa. There is also a cheers on the three-storey body of the round clock. The clock room, which has an octagonal structure, continues its activities, which is made up of Latin letters. The most important feature that distinguishes it from other watches is that it is one of the tower clocks that work with a weight system.
