How to Make Kutluwedding Loaf
Yeast meringue is prepared the evening before. From the morning; Water and salt are mixed into the flour and the yeast meringue prepared the night before is added and the dough is kneaded. The kneaded dough is left to rest for approximately two hours to ferment. Meringues are formed by tearing off hand-sized pieces from the rising dough. The meringues are placed on a clean cloth sprinkled with flour and left to rest for 10-15 minutes. The swollen dough meringues are spread into the oven, which was previously heated to medium heat by a wood fire, and the breads that are detected to be red are taken out of the oven with wooden shovels and left to rest. Service Breads can be consumed hot after coming out of the oven, or they can be stored cold and can be consumed for a long time. Generally, during Kutludüğ, Tirit meal is made from this village bread.
