
What are the Ingredients for Newspaper Baklava?
1 egg
1 glass of milk
Half a glass of oil
1 tablespoon of yoghurt
juice of half a lemon
As much flour as possible
500 g wheat starch
350 g walnuts
4 cups of sugar
4 glasses of water
4-5 drops of lemon juice
250 g butter
250 milliliters of olive oil
salt
How to Make Newspaper Baklava
Eggs, milk, yoghurt, oil, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and flour are kneaded to obtain earlobe-like dough. Take walnut-sized pieces from this dough and make 3 pieces. Let it rest for about 20 minutes. The rested meringues are opened one by one with starch, shaped and finished by adding walnuts. It is placed on a tray. The butter and olive oil mixture is poured over it hotly. Bake at 160 degrees until golden brown. Pre-made syrup is poured cold onto warm baklava. Sherbet: Place 4 cups of sugar and 4 cups of water over high heat. When it boils, add 4-5 drops of lemon juice. It is boiled for 15 minutes and ready.
