Göcek is a town in Fethiye district of Muğla province, one of our South Aegean provinces. According to the 1997 census, its population was determined as 3,500 and it is estimated that the resident population was 4,400 as of 2006. It is a settlement located in the Gulf of Fethiye and concentrated on the coastline of the coastline known as Gocek Bay. Göcek, which is surrounded by steeply rising mountains except for the South direction opening to the sea, has a limited land located in the only nook between these mountains.
