
In addition to its historical riches, especially the Kazdağları and Antandros excavations, Altınoluk, which has experienced a tourism boom in recent years with its centuries-old plane trees, abundant oxygen, clean sea with beautiful air, spring waters and friendly warm-blooded people. Two of the 18 districts of Balıkesir, the population of which is larger in terms of economy, culture and geography.
Apart from tourism, the existence of nearly 450 thousand olive trees within the boundaries of the town and village is of great importance for the local economy. Because the products of these olive groves are collected by workers from the surrounding provinces, districts and villages as well as the people of the town, a lively economy is experienced in Altınoluk in the winter months as well as in the summer months.
The contribution of an average of 45,000 tons of olives produced from these olive groves to the country’s economy in akçalı is worth 20 trillion Turkish lira. According to Tariş records, around 700 tons of olive oil is poured into Tariş by the members every year and the monetary equivalent of this is paid to the members in 3 trillion TL. The most important sources of income of Altınoluk are tourism, olive and olive products, which also contribute to the country’s economy.
