I was bored at the weekend, I was tired of always going to the same places. I came 5000 miles to New Jersey to stand still, NEVER! I tickle the brains of girls, let’s go somewhere, whatever is stinking, right? Finally, they are convinced, white flags are hoisted. So much so that they don’t even ask where we will go. I’m taking you somewhere nice, they smile helplessly. One of the closest gates is Pennsylvania. Of course, we choose the part of this state that is close to us. Swartmore College catches my eye, I want to go see it, get some maceara surprise.
After driving for about an hour, we find a green campus with narrow roads and trees. We wish we had studied here, the old buildings and all the deceiving beauties of spring make this university far from the city attractive to us in no time. Rose gardens, green meadows where cars do not enter, benches to drink tea under the trees evolve the feeling of being on holiday rather than on campus. The church in the middle of the campus whispers that it is a Catholic school that teaches religion up to a few years.
Especially the mini amphitheater in the most beautiful part of the campus and the tiny concert inside it makes me say, “This is so unfair, I cannot afford it after New York’s skyscraper classrooms. We are enchanted in front of the grass. We set off for Longwood Gardens without wasting much time, caught in the magic of this place.
While stopping at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in the heart of New York, we came to the far away one in Pennsylvania. Of course, this was not the first strange thing I did. Is it because it is close or because I always chose the wrong season, I could not see this garden with flowers once more. Longwood Gardens is a beautiful garden with a wide variety of flowers, trees and pools. You can sit next to the artificial little ponds and read your book.
On some evenings, you can watch the fountain show accompanied by music in the gardens built in British Royal style.
Banks are placed next to the flower beds to watch the sunset or to relax. I wish we had more time to enjoy this beauty. There is a sales store for customers to buy the seeds of the flowers you like. Even though the prices are biting a finger, I was surprised by the large number of people who shop.
The fountain show with classical music that started at sunset was in demand despite the rain. It was time to go towards the end. It was a very enjoyable trip.
Still from the Celtic concert, the musicians were amazing!
