A culture unique to itself, San Diego!
This city, which smells of Indian and Mexican culture, is right on the Mexican border. I always like to look down on the towns, even if not the people. For this, I chose the most famous and exclusive hill of the city. In this tiny town, there are many malls and officials to get information, promoting the Indians, the first indigenous people of Mexico and America.
My favorite frames
Statue of a sailor and a nurse kissing on Time Square after the first world war. With the defeat of Japan after World War II, 75,000 people gathered in New York Time Square for celebrations. At that time, Glenn McDuffie, who came to the city to see his girlfriend, kisses many old and young women during the celebrations. Then they kiss a nurse whose name cannot be determined. McDuffie, who thinks the photographer who is coming to them at that time is the girl’s husband or boyfriend, later realizes that they have come to take pictures that have become the symbol of Time Square. The statue of this couple is located in Seaport in San Diego.
Quite curved Coronado Bridge (3,407 meters)
Unlike our Bosphorus bridges (FSM and Bosphorus, it is possible to cross almost all bridges in the United States on foot. In fact, it was once possible in our country. As you can imagine, it was closed to pedestrians when the suicides increased. Bridge was the third bridge, which is the worst known in the country for suicide incidents.
We stayed only one night in San Diego, but didn’t go to San Diego’s famous zoo. We preferred to explore the sightseeing places by ourselves, instead of traveling like a robot, like the recipe given in unison in all tourist guides. We went to the island of Coronado and feasted on our eyes with the lush sea view and palm trees. Then we would turn the steering wheel to San Francisco, when my father insisted on going in the opposite direction to Las Vegas. No, we do not gamble, we found ourselves on the roads even if we said what we had to do in the Nevada Desert for 7-8 hours.
