Domates Salatasi – Adiyaman

Tomato Salad Recipe There are many unique salad types in Adıyaman local cuisine. Although the term salad has started to be used for these auxiliary dishes in the region in recent years, terms such as “manca, bostan and hurd” were used instead of salad in the past. In Adıyaman local cuisine, in addition to the well-known vegetable salads, there are salad types made with wild herbs that are completely unique to the region.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 coffee cup of olive oil
  • 1 coffee cup of pomegranate syrup
  • salt

How It Is Made

Tomatoes are chopped and mixed with finely chopped onion and parsley. Add olive oil, pomegranate syrup and salt, mix and serve.

Note: If you want, you can also chop 1 hot green pepper, but green pepper is not actually used in the salad.
