


Fındıklı village, 12 km west of Gallipoli. It was founded by the Greeks, far away. The old name of the village was ŞEYTAN village. They came from Bulgaria and Greece with the population exchange in 1924. Later, people who came from Romania in 1935 lived in 5 households. The village population is 450, and there is 1 cooperative, 3 coffeehouses, 4 minibuses, 60 tractors, 3 combine harvesters and a baler in the village.
There is 1 grocery store and a health center. There is a pond in our village for irrigation purposes. In recent years, pine trees have been planted on the forested land and have been maintained in these years. There are also stone pine trees.
Education is carried out in Gallipoli via the transportation system. The neighboring villages of Fındıklı are Değirmen Düzü, Kavaklı Tepe, Cevizli and Yeniköy. Migration continued until the 1990s, and when partially irrigated agriculture was introduced after the construction of the pond, migration slowed down. The village’s sources of income are Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing. It is among the economically best villages of Gallipoli.
Guests coming to the village are welcomed and hosted in the best possible way. AGRICULTURE: The agricultural area of our village is 11,550 decares. Wheat, Sunflower, barley, chickpeas. canola is grown. Especially in recent years, the most canal is grown in our village. As second products, corn, tomatoes and especially DRIED BEANS are grown very deliciously due to the structure of the soil and water. It cooks in fifteen minutes. It is especially demanded in many parts of Thrace and Istanbul.
Fruit growing has also been developing in recent years.
LIVESTOCK;
There are 500 cattle, 2,000 sheep and 300 beehives in our village. Modern dairy and livestock farming is carried out, and forage crops are also grown thanks to irrigated agriculture. In our village, corn is planted as a sole or second crop and silage is made. Silage is very beneficial for both the nutrition and milk of animals. Large and small livestock farming is carried out. Animal waste is also used as fertilizer.

Fishing is done as an extra job in the village on the coast of Saroz. There are all kinds of fish depending on the season. There are no large settlements, factories or ship wastes in Saroz. That’s why the fish caught here is more delicious. Especially SARDINE is very famous.
Grilled sardine (boklu kebab) is very delicious. Grilled sardine (boklu kebab); Fresh sardines are placed on the grill, without being cleaned, on the prepared grill fire, and cooked until their eyes turn white. Fresh fish are sold on the beach to those who are hungry, as soon as they come out of the sea. BEEKEEPING: Beekeeping has been very developed in our village in recent years. Beekeeping, which is done in a completely natural environment, is done as additional income.
