


Mar Petius and Paul Church: It was built in the name of Peter and Paul in 1914, during the reign of Patriarch Abdullah II, with the efforts of Pastor Abdulmesih. Handmade print curtains with root dyes are available. The stonework of this church is simple. The center is in Gül District.
Mor İliyo Church: It is in Mardin Castle. It was built in the 3rd century.
Mat Behnam (Forties) Church: It was built in the 5th century. It is in Şar District. The church has three entrance doors, mihrabs crafted with fine stone workmanship, four-century-old wooden Mihrab doors, 1500-year-old madder and print curtains, a bell tower house in its large courtyard, and a divan with examples of stone carvings processed like lace. In 1170, the bones of forty martyrs were brought to this church. Today it is the Mardin Metropolitan Church.
Virgin Mary Church: It was opened for worship in 1857 in Savur Kapı neighborhood. It is ruined enough. Red (Surp Kevork) Church: It was built in 420. Built on 10 stone columns, the sede and mihrab have a distinctive feature with different geometric stone decorations. Protestant Church: The church, built on a large area, was built in 569.
Church of the Virgin Mary: The Patriarchate is in the church built by Patriarch Antuan Semheri in 1860; There are arches, round stone columns and railings in the courtyard. The seat of the patriarch and the Bible preacher’s place display a completely different appearance with wooden handcrafted motifs of bunches of grapes.
The interior is built on 21 columns. The choir balcony is acoustic. The Patriarchate, built in 1895 by Antioch Patriarch İğnatuos Benham Banni, serves as a museum today. A part of the old Patriarchate building was demolished during the expansion works of the main street of the province in 1914-1915, so that the Germans’ iron-made wheeled carts could pass.
In 1958, the main street was widened and the Republic Area and the road were transformed into their current form.
Mar Hırmıs Church: It was built in 430 AD. It was in use by Nestorians until 1552. There are two Metropolitan Tombs in this church.
Mar Yusuf Church: Under the leadership of Member of Parliament Hovsep Kazasyan and with the contributions of Mardin Armenian Catholic Community, Patriarch VIII. During the tenure of Melkun Nazaryan, who was appointed as the Metropolitan of Mardin by Grigoryus, the construction of the Mardin Surp Hovsep Church started in 1864 and was opened for worship in 1894. There is a place for the clergy on the side of the church. Its architect is Lole, also known as Architect Lole.
Tons of salt were poured into the foundation during the construction of the church to prevent dampness. This method comes from ancient times. There is a Bell Tower at the top and its architecture has flat roofs. Vernadun, Baharan Choir Balcony is acoustic inside, on 21 columns. It has six sacred altars and was built in the form of Horan and Taşkoro in the north, Kavit in the south, Mıgırdaran in the west and Adyan in the east.
Mor Şimuni Church: It is located in the southwest of Eski Kale Village. It was built in 793.
Mor Ivennis Church: The church located in the southeast of the old castle village was built in 793.
Mor Circis Church: The church located in the northwest of the old castle village was built in 793.
Mor Iliye Church: The church, whose construction date is unknown, is in Ciftlik Village. There are two rooms in the side section of the church. Access to these rooms is made through a door with a very low ceiling. In the middle part, the healing section called taka (spirit, nerve and epilepsy patients) is frequently visited.
Mor Yakup-Mor Kuryakus Church: Although the exact construction date is unknown, the church dating back to the 3rd century is from Bülbül Village.
Virgin Mary Church: The church in Göllü Village is in ruins.
Mor Yuhannin Church: The church, built in 370, is in Dereiçi (Kıllıt) Village.
Mor Babi Church: It is located in the northwest of Nusaybin Günyurdu Village and at the top of the hill. The church was built by carving the rock. These places are also called Cave or Underground Churches.
Mor Aho Church: The church, located on the hill north of Günyurdu Village, was built by Patriarch III. Some additions were made during the reign of Jacob.
Mor Şemun Church: It is located in the north of Günyurdu Village. It has a very old history.
Mor John Church: It is on a rocky slope of Turabdin Mountain. It consists of many structures. 5 km from Mor Evgin Monastery. distance and can be reached on foot.
