Adana Ataturk Museum
The museum, which was built in the 19th century on Seyhan Caddesi and is one of the traditional Adana houses, is a two-storey masonry building with a bay window and a hipped roof. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his wife Latife Hanım were hosted in this house, which belonged to Suphi Pasha, one of the Ramazanoğulları, on March 15, 1923, and the restored building was put into service in 1981 under the museum directorate.
The 15th of March, the date of Atatürk’s arrival in Adana, is celebrated in this museum with official ceremonies every year. On the ground floor of the museum building, there is a scientific study room, a library, and on the upper floor there is a sofa, bedroom, press room, study room, mujahideen room, living room, Hatay room, gun room, aide’s room, Kuva-i Milliye room. Ataturk visited Adana 9 times.
