Lake surroundings

Even if it is very crowded in the summer, the large area does not cause any disturbance. There are also those who catch fish on the bridge, who try their luck on Kızılırmak with a rented boat, or who forget the fishing line and walk around with the sound of rowing in the still water… There is no construction around the dam lake. It is a kind of bird paradise whose riversides are covered with reeds and dwarf trees. Birds nesting in rock cavities and reeds in the region covered with ponds that exhibit natural beauties can also find the opportunity to feed by laying eggs in secluded places. Stork, pigeon, wild duck, wild goose, cormorant, quail and partridge are some of the most common species in the region. When the blooming season comes in April-May, the region is getting full with the participation of the flowers of the fruit trees. The bird choir is also added to this.

Çeşnigir Bridge in Köprüköy was built on Kızılırmak. Köprüköy is the closest village to Kapulukaya, which is the third dam after Hirfanlı, Kesikköprü. The city center is 35 km away from Kırıkkale. While the lakeside fish restaurants host their guests, there are also beautiful farmhouses between Bala and Köprüköy. Among them, the Nile Valley farm stands out as an enviable example for those who are overwhelmed by urban life.
