The city of Los Angeles is a metropolis located in Southern California. It is located in the west of the United States. The city is governed by the county method and is part of the county of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is California’s largest city, and the second most populous city in the United States (13,798,981 people according to the 2016 census).
Discovered by Mexico-controlled Spain on September 4, 1781 (although the Indians lived there for a long time), Los Angeles became part of California on April 4, 1850. Its name comes from Spanish and it means City of Angels. On August 2, 1769, Father Juan Crespi, the Franciscan priest among the first European settlers who came to California, captured by Fernando Rivera Y Moncado, was named after Perdono, a religious feast on August 2, and was called Francis the Holy Because the place is called “porziuncola”, meaning “the very small parcel of the country” in Italy, it is called “Nuestra Señora de los Angeles de la Porciúncula”, and then “El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora”, since this chapel in Assisi has a fresco of the Virgin Mary surrounded by angels. It was called la Reina de los Angeles de Porciúncula, then for short “El Pueblo de la Reina de Los Angeles.” But the strange thing is that in Spanish the words are divided into masculine and feminine, so its name should be either “Los Angelos” as masculine or “Las Angeles” as feminine, perhaps because angels are not male or female as a cosmic joke This name is strangely “Los Angeles”. The Los Angeles metropolitan area is home to the counties of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura and Orange, and over 16 million people from different ethnic and economic backgrounds. Los Angeles has been incorrectly referred to as “Southern California” many times, but geographically many parts are ignored, especially the San Diego and Imperial provinces.

Los Angeles, which had a population of about ten thousand until 1876, was the dream of many people in terms of the exploration of oil fields, gold mines in the north of California and its natural beauty.
In the 1920s, it started to be the pioneer of arts and entertainment throughout the country. Against New York’s classic Broadway, Hollywood cinema becomes even stronger in the developing years; Today, a large income of Broadway comes from Hollywood.
There are also districts that have developed as neighbors with the growth of Los Angeles.
The governor of California, which includes the world-famous districts of Venice Beach, Marina del Rey, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and Hollywood, is also the famous movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger.
