NASA’s spacecraft Perseverance landed on Mars on February 18, after a journey of about seven months.

The spacecraft has since been sending spectacular images of the Jezero Crater it has landed on.
Jezero is an impact crater, 49 km in diameter, located slightly north of the Red Planet’s equator line.
During its stay on Mars, the vehicle will study the geological structure of the planet, how its climate in the past was, collect rock samples, and search for traces of past life.
