
In Amasya, beetroot is also called bird bread.
Ingredients
- 1 kg herb beet (also called bird bread)
- 200 g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- oil
- salt
- Preferably bacon or fenugreek
- 1 tea glass of bulgur for rice
- 3 eggs
- 1 bunch of parsley
How It Is Made
Minced meat and onion are fried in oil. Cleaned and chopped green beetroot is placed on it and wilted, then bulgur, some fenugreek, salt and tomato paste are added. Add 2 glasses of hot water, close the lid and cook on low heat. If desired, serve with garlic yoghurt on top.
