Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 glass of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tea glass of granulated sugar
- 1.5 cups of village flour
How It Is Made
Melt the butter in a copper pan and reduce the heat. Meanwhile, milk and eggs are whisked with a fork and poured into the pan. Flour is added slowly to the pan, stirring constantly until it reaches a smooth consistency. When the color of the mixture darkens and its consistency thickens, pour half of the granulated sugar on it and continue roasting by turning it upside down. The roasted höşmerim is removed from the stove, placed on serving plates and served by sprinkling the remaining granulated sugar on them.
Höşmerim dessert, which is cooked in the region, is eaten with foam halva in some houses and honey in some houses.
