
Ingredients
- 1 piece of bread dough
- 1 cup of oil
How It Is Made
The dough is divided into fist-sized pieces. These pieces are flattened to the size of a plate by dipping the fingertips into oil and pressing. Black cumin seeds can also be added to the dough. It is pierced in several places with a fork and cooked in a deep pan, in hot oil, turning both sides.
Note: Pişi is a pastry made during Regaip Kandili. It is made in almost every home and distributed to neighbors. It is served with cheese, olives, pickles, halva, jam and molasses.
