Ramazan Kebabi Recipe – Afyonkarahisar

Ingredients

  • 1 kg cubed beef
  • 2 kebab pitas
  • 1 bunch of Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper

How It Is Made

Cubed meat is roasted until its water is absorbed. Add enough water to cover it, add salt and cook again. On the other hand, pita breads are cut into square shapes. If desired, pitas can be heated in the oven. The water from the cooked cubed meat is drained. The broth is used to moisten the pitas. The soaked pitas are placed on the serving tray. Place the meat on top and pour a ladle of broth if desired. After resting in the oven for about 5 minutes, it is served by sprinkling finely chopped parsley on top. Note: If desired, a teaspoon of black pepper can be added to the broth or to the roasted cubed meat. Ramadan kebab is also known as Afyon kebab. It is called “Ramadan Kebab” because it is usually eaten at the iftar meal during Ramadan.
