Ingredients
- 1 tea glass of oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of yoghurt
- As much flour as possible
- 2 cups walnuts
- 250 gr. unsalted butter To roll out:
- 1.5 cups of wheat starch
- Half a glass of flour is mixed. For the syrup:
- 1 kg. granulated sugar
- 4 glasses of water
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
How It Is Made
Preparation of the syrup: Boil 4 glasses of water and add sugar. Cook over low heat until the syrup turns yellow. Add lemon juice and let it cool.
Preparation of the dough: Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Add flour and make dough as soft as an earlobe. Divide into walnut-sized pieces. Leave it to rest for 1.5-2 hours by covering it with a damp cloth. The dough is rolled out with as much starch flour as it can grow. One of the dough is left to dry until the other one is rolled out. Walnuts are placed on the dried ones, a roll is made on the rolling pin, and the dough is shrunk towards the middle at both ends of the rolling pin. The rolling pin is removed. It is placed on the tray without losing its shape. It is dried for 1 day. When it is to be fried, it is cut into equal intervals. Hot oil is poured over them and they are fried pink-white. The syrup and dough are soaked while cold.
