Manastir (Hamam) Bay

With a short journey after Göbün and Merdivenli bays, you encounter the unique beauty of Manastır Bay. Also known as Cleopatra Hamam or Sunken Hamam Bay due to an old bath in the southwest of the cove with ruins in the water, Manastır Bay has a tectonic coastal formation like many bays in the bay. When the slope of the hill just behind the bay is examined carefully, this tectonic structure and the channels that bring the waters of a crater lake, which was active in the past, can be clearly seen. Manastir Bay is covered with pine trees and carob trees from the shore to the hill. An ancient wall structure running parallel to the shore in the north-east direction and other small ruins remind you that you are not far from the ancient city of Lydae in Lycia. You can reach Lydae from Ağ Harbor as well as from Monastery Bay by a 1.5-hour trail walk. Monastery Bay is a beauty that must be included in your route for daily visits and overnight stays.
