Babakale – Çanakkale / Turkey

The prisoners built the castle, laid pipes for five kilometers to bring water to the fountain, and started the construction of the port. Since then, the region has always been neglected, as if confirming the promise that it was out of sight for a long time.

However, the construction of the harbor, where ships can load, fishing boats can carry fish and take shelter, where touristic yachts can stay in the marina, which can change the fate of the region, has been resumed today. With the participation of those who have heard of the Çanakkale bridge project, the mountains and hills with Aegean views have been parceled, and those whose residences have finished have already settled.

Babakale, which is the farthest point in the west of the Asian continent, also constitutes the separation point of the Aegean and Marmara Sea.

The sun, which slows down as it does not want to settle as it approaches the horizon line in the region, melts and disappears in the sea, and the ground turns black and red.

In this riot of color, the breezy thyme-covered hills leave their dust in the Aegean and surrender to the wind with the scent of the sea.
