Ankara – Turkey

Ulus and Youth Park

Youth Park, which can be reached by the road from the train station to Ulus, is one of the important breathing pipes of the city. Those who encounter a giant pool with fountains and bridges in the middle of the city try to relieve their longing for water to some extent, sometimes they take a break in the tea gardens and restaurants on the lakeside, they cool off, sometimes they ride pedals and join boat trips and wander around the limited area. Especially the Youth Park, luna park, which is especially popular with those coming from various parts of Anatolia, is visited and attracted attention as it allows various activities.
Another monument that decorates Ulus Square, one of the busiest squares of the city, is the Victory Monument erected in memory of the heroes of the War of Independence. Built in 1927 by the Austrian sculptor Krippel and rising on a stone base, the monument features two Turkish soldiers and Atatürk on horseback. Ulus draws attention with its historical buildings such as the War of Independence Museum and the Republic Museum, as well as monumental buildings.
