Ankara – Turkey

Roman bath

When you turn to the north in Ulus Square, you can see the ruins of the baths on the left side of Çankırı Street, which extends to Yıldırım Beyazıt Square. The well-preserved Ankara Roman Bath consists of two parts. The building has become a monumental integrity with its cold, warm and hot sections, swimming pool, dressing and sweating place, stoves, service sections, water tanks in the square-planned bath. Today, those who visit the Roman Baths can see the lower heating floors and service sections of the bath. Various columns and tombstones decorated with reliefs can also be seen in the bath, which has been restored in recent years.
