Ankara – Turkey

Haci Bayram Mosque

Located next to the Augustus and Roman temple, the mosque was built in 1427/1428, two years before Hacı Bayram Veli’s death. There is also the tomb of Hacı Bayram Veli within the mosque area. The mosque, which was built in Selçuk architectural style, was repaired by Mimar Sinan. Its square planned minaret has a stone base and has a cylindrical brick body. At the end of the 17th century, these decorations were decorated by Nakkaş Mustafa and later Kütahya tiles were used.
