Bardakci Cove
Bardakçı Cove is just outside the Bodrum harbor. In the past, water sellers were called “glass sellers”. This name may be derived from Bardakçı of the historical Salmakis fountain, who knows? According to legend, Hermaphroditus, who saw himself in the clear puddle here, fell in love so much that the nymph here united them forever and thus Hermaphrodite was born. Today, there are luxury hotels, small pensions and restaurants along the beach in Bardakci. A frequent destination for local daily boats, Bardakçı takes only a minute’s walk from the hill between the marina and Gümbet.
No other place in Turkey’s Aegean collar, traditional Turkish village life, not only from the hustle and bustle sereen a modern settlement a few minutes away so before the eyes of visitors. There are many ways to explore the Bodrum peninsula. The most enjoyable of these is to tour the surrounding bays and coastal villages by daily excursion boats departing from Bodrum harbor or local ports.
