Plateaus, Waterfalls, Caves, Villages and Surprises
If we look at its geographical location, we see that it is settled on a plateau rising towards the mountainous area in the South, 15 km behind the Akçakoca coastline. The land structure rising towards the Orhan mountains in the coating reaches up to 1486 meters in the Kızıltepe valley in the East. We explore the beauties hidden in Akçakoca towards the hills rising in the green forest sea where nature behaves generously. We will like the beautiful houses in Paşalar Village, Edilli Village and other villages on our way and make a photo safari.

Aktas Waterfall
Returning from Melenağzı, proceeding parallel to Melen Stream, we first reach Uğurlu Village, Esma Hanım Village, an Abaza village among typical houses and bagens where corn is stored. In the village square, there is a century-old, flamboyant, stylish plane tree fed by a branch of Melen Stream. Unlike other houses, the aesthetic Abaza village houses with large gardens at the front draw attention. When we watch Melenin pouring into the sea from Hemşin, which is located on a very high hill, we reach Aktaş Village. The walk starts from the path that descends into the forest to watch the fall of Aktaş Waterfall after getting off the vehicle. A small cave with limestone porous structure, moss-covered rocks, monumental trees with ivy hanging from its high branches, choir of invisible forest birds mixed with the sound of water, in the Amazon Jungle without axes it makes you feel like you are. As soon as you reach the pouring place of the waterfall, you see the waterfall water coming over a 40-50 meter humped rock and it continues on its way into a stream. Flat and high wall-like natural rocks leave a very small window for you to see the sky covered with plants. You realize that the lightning hours of the waterfall are between 11.00 and 15.00, and you return to the accompaniment of chestnut, oak, beech, juniper trees, ferns, black berries and rhododendrons. If you used your energy economically, you climb the difficult slope you descended and take it in the hut with a tea stove at the entrance. The hut, which serves as a tea garden, has toast-like foods, village breakfast varieties, and a camp site for those who want to live the Robinson life. For those who will stay away from civilization, those who want to go to the camp site with a pat and pat vehicle call Rasim Aydın on 0535 789 03 54. Before the 450-altitude Derebaşı tent place, a green forest sea, Akçakoca beaches, Alaplı, Zonguldak Ereğlisi and the Black Sea are visible. Rasim guides those who come to the region, takes them to the lakes located on the levels above the waterfall, shows the cave decorated with stalactite stalagmites, and makes them satiated for trekking. Leaving Aktaş on the way to another waterfall, Sarıyayla, a water draws attention on the roadside.
