Mars is the most studied planet in space studies. So what makes the Red Planet so important, how possible is life on it, and what information has been obtained so far?
Why is Mars at the center of space studies?

A star that shines in the night sky with its reddish color and named after the Roman god of war.
He was different from the others and nothing like his other siblings in the sky.
With the development of telescopes in the 1800s, interesting surface shapes were detected on the Martian surface. These shapes were even thought to belong to a Martian civilization.

Why is Mars at the center of space studies?
We now know that there is no artificial structure on Mars. But we also learned that the dry, toxic planet we see today might once have been as habitable as Earth.
Since the 1960s, scientists have begun unraveling both how a planet grows and evolves while watching Mars, as well as the mysterious past and potential of Mars.
