Why is Mars at the center of space studies?

Insgiht, which started its mission on November 26, 2018, goes deep into the planet and examines the formation process of the rocks that shape the planet.

Landing on September 21, 2014, MAVEN is collecting information about the Red Planet’s atmosphere, climate history and potential livability.

The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which landed on March 10, 2006, takes unique images and collects data with the most powerful telescopic camera ever.

Curiosity Mars, which landed on August 6, 2012, evaluates whether it has an environment that can support small life forms. In other words, its mission is to determine the “habitability” of the planet.

Mars Express, sent by NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency on June 2, 2003, explores the atmosphere and surface of Mars from polar orbit.

Mars Odyssey, who went to Mars on October 24, 2001, continues his tasks of determining the composition of the planet’s surface, detecting water and ice, and examining the radiation environment.
